How's everyone doing solid body mounts with cages.

If at all. I didn't do em Yet and im debating on cutting em off and making new brackets, or just plate the cage to cab in alot of places

My cage is plated to the cab also. My solid mounts were put in before the cage was plated to the cab.

I need to drill my wheels for 5/8 studs, can I do it with a regular drill bit or should I wait and use a 11/16 reamer? I have the drill bit already so was thinking of trying tonight.

Any idea how to fix it ? I've had a 07 and now a 08 and they both have this issue.

solo was fixing one the last time I was there so id talk to them. Bobby said those cracks are from beating on it and the body flexing. Maybe look into solid or Poly mounts to keep it from getting worse.

Edit- I would do solid mounts and tig weld the cracks up. But I like to feel every vibration and pebble in the road

Think it would help to drill a small hole in the end to stop the spread ?
