I'll start with the good news...

My old man finally pulled the trigger on a new Tacoma, which allowed me to finally buy the 2007 he has been babying for the last 10 years. :bananadance:

    Now the bad news...

Fast forward three days to when someone decides to make a u-turn without looking behind them, causing me to total their 97 Honda and destroy the front of my "new" Tacoma. :sadviolin:

No estimate yet, so far they say just a new grill, bumper, fender, flare, and realignment for good measure. I wanted to jump on a @HomerTaco grill while it was being replaced anyway but the wait is 9 months. That's how you know you're doing good work.

    Long wait. Worth it.

Why would he need to look behind him making a U turn?

Were you behind him or did he turn in front of you?

    Confused.

Probably was in the right lane trying to cross multiple lanes of traffic while making a u-turn.

@PizzaPlanet, if you were the one who hit, you are responsable, even if the front car had brake to a complete stop.

    And now the good news....

You can replace all the damaged parts with a 2012+ front end.

    BTW, cool username.

In the grand scheme of things, you actually got away pretty well. Everything you need is a "bolt on" part so there's no welding required. ("Weld on" parts can cause all sorts of issues when you go to paint them if they're not prepped properly.) And more importantly, nobody got hurt. Take the truck to a good collision shop and you'll never be able to tell it was hit.

Shit... Get a new deer-slayer bumper. His insurance will take some of the hit.

Its hard to tell, but the core support may be a little crunched around that headlamp. I'm sure some of the tabs and brackets for the fender on that apron are smashed too. Should fix up easily enough though. Time for ARB bumper?? Lol. Good luck

Or reuse as much as you can and get a suspension upgrade with the savings :notsure:
That 09 suspension is probably due for a replacement...
