I'd do about anything to help this guy. We've been good friends for near 50 years. I just would NOT expect anyone else to have to deal with him without knowing what is in store. He also wants to fight with everyone who doesn't agree with him. I've dragged him out of many an ass whoopin'.... 59 year old disabled shits don't need to act like a bad ass. He has a history of pointing guns at people too. Best left at home.

I am guessing you are talking about with a percolator? I have actually never had it out of one

Preliminary dates are October 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd. (Thursday/Sunday) Friday/Saturday will be all day on the trails. Will camp at one of the outbound camp grounds (on trails) Friday night. Thursday is a meet up day. Thursday night and Saturday night will probably be spent at one of the campgrounds near the trail head.

Year one, this was a one day event. Last October was a 3 day trip. (Friday was a washout more or less....heavy rain) 3rd annual will be 4 days, with 2 FULL days on the trail. There should be a group from Northern Indiana along for the ride this year. Plans are to get a little more adventurous this fall! After 2 trips there, I think I have the route around the perimeter pretty much wired. We did 90% green trails with some blue and a couple short stretches of red trail this past fall. Now we start exploring the blue and red! No matter what, we will stay within the capabilities of those along for the ride. It's about having fun, not bending frames.

It MAY get rescheduled to the following weekend. (Will know soon) Harlan has an annual event, "The Fall Crawl", that is usually the 2nd weekend of October. Should it get pushed back a week, we will do the following weekend.

Yes, I never get it stong enough (probably due to impatience). I end up re-filtering through the grounds at least once, always manage to get grounds into my cup. Good enough for camping.

I'd rather have it from a percolator than anything else.

i have a ridiculously old, two part stove top coffee maker. heat the water in the bottom, pour it into the top where the coffee is (over the dirt because it will start to drain), then the top attaches to the bottom

i can't even find any pics online of this thing... but it makes great coffee when its cold out

Don't drink coffee on a regular basis. When I do, I like it just like my women.....Full of liquor.

Beer on the other hand, I'm more particular about. NO "Lite" beer for starters. No Coors or Corona... Those are sex in a canoe beers. (Fucking near water)

Some one not nearly as lazy as me should start a thread for this one once the dates are confirmed.

I will be doing just that. It will likely appear in the Midwest Forum, and run in conjunction with the "Official Central Kentucky Thread" which is also in that sub forum.

Probably will start posting around mid to late summer.

This sums up cold weather camp fire guitar playing. Mike is having fun, I'm fake smiling for the camera, Sarah is dead and Brent is wearing shorts. Thank God we had obviously been through a few mud holes at this point
