I wish the 4wheel parts in SA sold them. I could walk across the street and grab one. Instead I have to drive an hour out of my way. Maybe something in Austin will be along my route when I head out.

Hope your feeling better, I know at Jambo you were saying you were starting your at home training, I hope it's working out for you. If there is anything we can help you out with let us know.

Thanks, sitting in the chair getting a treatment in right now. Going to be at a mod day tomorrow to hopefully get a few things done on my Tacoma as well as others Tacoma's too.

Ready to hit some trails at Jambo with you. @Overkill07 and I were in Gilmer last weekend reminiscing that land cruiser. I know your bringing the taco this time but which one is more capable you think?

Hard to call really. Slipped an additional leaf into the front pack, and replaced the blown out air shocks on the LandCruiser which has helped allot. It still needs gears and lockers installed, which I'll get to eventually.

The Tacoma is double locked and regeared with a pretty solid mid-travel setup. I have a few plans to upgrade it but they can wait as it's working quite well.

So with that said, they are both amazing machines and neither have left me feeling like they were a poor choice.

Registration opening is T-6 days (or less).

Taking bets on how soon after opening that Tom will actually get to sleep again.

I might attend for Saturday only, not camping. They're accepting volunteers for registration and tech inspection and I thought about signing up for that. Not sure about participating in the events themselves.

Hey guys, just spent the past hour or so reading this thread and had a few questions. I have been a Tacoma guy for most of my life but have never done any true wheeling other than driving on unimproved roads in AZ, Utah & Colorado while hunting. I have a new 2016 TRD DBCB that I definitely do not want to tear up for obvious reasons. I always read about the events posted on TW but never get the opportunity to attend now that I live in Shreveport, LA and the TW family is almost non existent here. Would it still be a good time if someone went to the event that wasn't experienced with off road trails? It would cool to get a chance to meet a lot of the fellow TW members and check out the vendors, etc. Any input anyone has would be greatly appreciated. As far as my setup goes as of right now-
    Icon Stage 1
    TRD Wheels
    BFG Ko2 265/70r17
    Random other stuff
Just not sure what trails I would be able to run for the sake of not beating up my truck and not sure what its capable of handling.

I think it'd definitely be worth you going. Not too many other big events like this that are as close to you as this one. The TW members I've met so far have all been nice and welcoming, much better than the past 10 years in the Supra community that I came from. This will be my first Jambo and second time out to Barnwell. I don't have much done to my truck except a small lift and tires, but I had no problems doing the easier trails out there. I may have got a small clearcoat scratch, but no real damage. There should be someone out there that will let you ride with them on the trails. That would give you a chance to see what's out there and if you're willing to try any of them in your truck. I found it very surprising to see what my simple SR5 could do. A lot of it I did in 2wd, too. It was a blast! Your TRDOR would do just fine.

Thanks for the info, I would be coming in early Friday morning and staying until Sunday. Any ideas if camping spots will be hard to come by on Friday morning??
