What's the difference between a race radio & a ham radio? Always wondered that, just have assumed they work on different freqs?

    this

the Baofeng stuff will go into the Race Radio freqs tho. We ran 151.625 which is PCI's Weatherman and we ran separately on 154.515 which is PCI Relay for those that were putting on the event last weekend to not clutter up the main freq.

Well I had to try beer at some point in my life. I'm telling you it's the true gateway drug. I woke up with a syringe of heroin in my arm, a bag of meth next to my bed, and a toothless hooker which I paid for with trident layers. I only had 1 beer I swear!

Honestly with all the shit going on I'm just wicked stressed out.

Stuff and things to make glamorous camping faster and more enjoyable.
We run a Kenwood dual band mobile HAM 50 watt (TM-V71A) in the truck and then have a couple Kenwood handhelds (TH-K20A) for walking/spotting. We set the mobile rig up as a repeater so the handhelds benefit from the power of the mobile rig. The mobile rig is also modded so we can reach the Race Radio, Weatherman and FRS/GMRS freqs.

also a quick note on the HAM radio thing - please get your license. It's super easy, super cheap, and will keep the service open and available to everyone.

You can find practice tests online that have answers, and they are the actual questions and answers used in the real test - so even if you know nothing of electrical or radio theory, you can just memorize them.

I am not currently licensed... :anonymous:

Just need to go give some Boyscouts my $20 one night.

Do you have to go to an office to get the license? And if so where at?
