The tow trucker was amazed by what he saw and I've also been hit up by several people on IG with pms asking questions on how to as well as more pics. Passerbys my house have been stopping amd asking questions as well as complimenting the ghetto engineering. Its been quite fun time discussing it all

I was cruising down the street in my 6-4. Jocking the bitches, and slapping the ....

Ok fine. I was mobbing through a wash when I came around a corner and saw another rig coming head on. Admitedly, in heinsight I had time to slow and stop but I knee jerk reacted and veered left and smacked the side of a rut. Some wise guys blame the welding job but the guy that welded my total chaos gusset has 25 yrs experience and was a Toyota master mechanic. If you look closely it wasn't the weld that failed it was the stock spindle which collapsed and snapped the gusset. Shit happens. Can't always be rooftop tents and fancy outdoorsy quotes ya know? Lol

Thanks for the explanation. Looks like a combination of buzzard luck and hard work. For what it's worth when I was doing some research I found that all of our spindles are the same when it comes to 6-lug 2nd gens no matter 4x2 or 4x4. Maybe that will help you in your search for a replacement.

 

Post up that video of your truck getting loaded on the flat bed! Shows that log in action!
