Let me refine what lackadaisical pre coffee comment that I had earlier.

The fluid level sensor on the OEM reservoir. If left unplugged, or the fluid is to low, the ABS light will stay on. Have you come up with an idea to remedy this?

 

i thought if unplugged nothing happened?

When I was diagnosing my ABS / BRAKE lights being on the dash, I know a lot of people suggested that when that happened to them it was because of low brake fluid in the reservoir. Not sure what happens if you just unplug it, sure seems easy to find out though...

As many of us have found out, the stock discs are prone to warping. This seems like it would be a good combo with some upgraded calipers /rotors for sure.

I'm sure you have spent some serious time and effort in designing this, some people may be hesitant to pay 200$ for a small aluminum disc. That and if you do sell alot at 200$, What is stopping someone from re-creating your product and selling it for 100$? (unless you have patent rights) Seems to be a problem around here with newly designed products so just a thought, provisional patents allow you one year to assess the market and only cost ~60$.

I think it is a great idea and not a crazy price especially if the initial reviews are promising.

 

i havent thought of a patent. this is a product to try a supply the demand for people. ill look into that thanks for the tip.

 

Any other adapters coming down the road? BBK caliper brackets perhaps?

 

I'm not well versed in braking systems, but assuming there is some real benefit to be had, and that it works well with all of the other components such as brake booster and what have you, I see some real marketability, and where there is marketability there is competition. Patent would just allow you to eliminate or mitigate the competition. It may or may not be worth it. I am working on a provisional myself and its been pretty time consuming (mainly patent drawings so you may save some serious time if you already have 3d digital renderings)

Again it is just a thought, I guess you have to ask yourself if it is really something you would want to pursue if it did take off. If you are just making small batches and only plan on making say less than 100 or so I wouldn't think it would be worth it.

I guess the biggest thing is going to be you testing it yourself to see if the benefits you want to see are there.

 

Subd as my brakes suck and desperate to learn me some knowledge other than aftermarket rotors and pads are better than stock.

Need that level sensor so the dash ain't lit up like a Christmas tree. Could just jumper it I suppose.

 

yes putting the two wires should work just fine. an if its a resistance issue can always wire in a resistor.

 

Although it would be better just to have the sensor actually doing its job rather than bypassing it.

 

you mean a low level sensor? it will have zero effect on the brakes.

 

Something to look into? I have no idea if this is a direct fit for the M/C you are using but Im sure you can find something to work.

it isnt. an i honestly dont care about a level sensor. this is purely for performance. little things like that are a none issue. once i get the adapter made and installed on a truck ill let you know about all my findings. right now it was to see who is interested in it. to make sure im not wasting my time and money.

 

Just to be certain, I am interested as well. My light is always on anyway. No bother to me. A plug jumper could always be made. I just know that there will be the those whom overlooked my question, were I not to have asked it, then complained about it later.

Now they have no reason to.

What I would like, is for the leg work to be done to see if a quality jumper plug could go along with the kits.

Rather than leave it solely to the buyer.

 

You may not care about the level sensor but I bet most people would if you were to sell it as a kit. Again nothing more than my 2 cents.

 

I made one already for my truck, but your design looks like it will seal better. ( I was gunna do one like yours next)
