Did a thing today. Hated that pitted POS exhaust pipe with crappy aftermarket chrome tip. Who the fuck did that? :anonymous:

Did the pinch weld mod and got some new eBay lights lol. Also attempted to figure this oil leak out but can't pin point the source, it's dripping a lot of oil, any ideas? Do these pics look normal? I see some seeping from the oil pan where it mates to the block but it's not major, must be on the bottom near the drain somewhere
(I cleaned it off in the pics)
    This just started happening recently

I can't imagine adding more weight to a 4cyl. What range of rpms do you usually see?

As you know poor people have worst diet

Thus us lower poverty spec guys have no clue about weight

Instead of putting 35 and lifting like other 4cyl I wanted to make mine presentable

Too often people think it's gardener truck or Taliban truck

Now they will think it's white man adventurous truck

    My car has no tach
    No idea on rpm

Filled tank up to see if mpg will be effected
    I am fastidious about that
    So will report back

Make them out of steel plate. Hammer, vice, grinder would be your tools of choice. Does that 50" bar fit?

I've got all the weight, gotta remember 4cyl trucks are what gave toyota trucks their reputation. MPG is unimportant as anything other than a tertiary indicator of engine health to me. But if you have to know 32s, 3.58gears, a camper shell, steel bumper, sliders, a lift, and about 250k miles equal about 18MPG as of late. Originally 26MPG when new, down to 18 isn't the worst I've seen. Only time it has gotten lower than 17MPG average was when I had head gasket issues.

Lol 26 is better than what 3rd gens get. That's impressive though being around 18 with all that extra.

I would say I'm getting about 15-17, v6, front bumper, 33s, 4.10, bed rack, RTT, F/I, and additional injector.

I want to change the oil on my transfer case. Any recommendations on what oil I should use?

I'll just say that I use Valvoline 75W-90 in my case and it works well, no reason to spend more for the transfer case, it only has one synchro that serves a very light duty purpose. Takes about 8 mins from start to finish to change the oil in it. I will say that you should loosen the fill plug before draining so you know it will come off.

The Valvoline I use comes in this bottle (same one I use for the diffs too, just don't use it in a manual transmission)

My 2.7 loves extra weight. Makes it even better at what it has always been good at...

Not going anywhere in a hurry. ;)

I installed radio control switches out of a sienna van. They have the same radio's that our trucks have. Was just walking by one in the junkyard, spotted it, removed it and the clock spring and harness to the radio. Works great!

Use a 75W-90 true GL-4 oil, lots of people recommend Amsoil for this... http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produ...-transmission-and-transaxle-gear-lube-75w-90/

Some also say use Redline MT90 which is also a true GL-4 oil. Around here Redline is the magical swill of choice, I fell for the hype and noticed nothing special after I switched to it besides my wallet being lighter from purchasing boutique oil.

Just make sure you get a pure GL4 75W-90 oil

People give the 4cyl shit, but when your truck is sorta light to begin with it isn't all that bad. I must confess that with 3.58s I can't climb a hill without high RPM but I can stay moving on a straightaway without hardly using any fuel at all.
