See, I like the stock bumpers and I've upgraded/changed everything else on my particular truck. Hard pressed to change these out but I likely will...damn TW making me spend my $!

    Ah, the deceiver.

Don't blame you on the magnaflows, who wants to sound like a ricer on a v6. I've read good things about borla though but I'm not about to drop $600 on one.

I have a Trail Gear Low Profile and 881's and I'm sitting right around 2in over stock. My bumper only really added 20-30lbs once you subtract all the stock stuff I took off. If you plan on running a plate bumper, 882's would be the way to go.

    Thanks, bud! It's getting there...
Running a TG rear finally, and I'll have my Addicted front bumper on there eventually. The stock front is f'n butchered to shit with those tires, though

So true. I have to say, the Tacomas have gotten uglier with each Gen.

I actually really like the looks of the third gen, but the drivetrain is so anemic it fell right back off my radar.

35s are so worth cutting up your truck. When my 32s wear out ima have to get me a set.

I like the color options. I almost bought a QS colored TRD off road but just didn't need another pricey vehicle. My wife's suv fills that role and my 04 is just a fun toy.

Glad I didn't for a number of reasons and respect others' choices but the quality seems to have slipped since Gen 1. Too much tech not yet sorted among other items.

I've had several 3rd Gen owners stop me and ask about the little 04. Love it.

Quicksand is a great color, I really like it. I hope to free mine from DD duty soon. But it's always fun to have someone from the forums recognize you on the street or just have strangers wave. Plus the occasional dude at the local travel stop or walmart that compliments it or asks to buy it. 2nd gens are fine as far as quality is concerned, same problem we have really (rusting frames).

Third gens are like a conglomeration of parts that were just never meant to be put together. Engine that only makes power at high load and high RPM, transmission that shifts like it's behind a turbo diesel, rearend that isn't sure if its gears belong inside the housing or outside.... but damn do they look good. If they had the 2nd gen drivetrain I'd be all over one after I'm finished with school. I'd still keep the 1st gen though, it's worth everything sentimentally.
