What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I used Rustoleum Universal Satin Black spray paint. The Satin gives it the touch of gloss. All I did was clean the plastic chrome with alcohol wipes to make sure there was no greasy spots before I painted. 3 or 4 coats, starting out light and getting thicker each coat. 2 hours total start to finish!

 

Just got my truck on Friday, installed the slider/steps today myself... (Pics are sort of a before/after/after)

 

I spray painted them with rustolem brand primer, grille and smoke tint

 

Is your front windshield tinted? Or is it just the shadow and angle it seems really dark?

Does the sunroof deflector just attach with 3M tape?

 

Sliders, where did you get and how much? Model #?

 

I got them from eBay (The Walmart of the internet) from Tyger... Mounted them today, super easy, I did it alone with no help and was done in about an hour, seem like their very sturdy, here's the link for them:

hate to break it to you but anything mounted to the body is not going to be considered or function as a slider. Under any weight these are going to tweak and eventually tear out of their mounts

 

Any suggestions? I'm pretty new

 

frame mounted if you want sliders, otherwise you just have some nice nerf step that look like sliders. We will have our production version available very shortly.

You have two choices when mounting them to the frame. You can bolt them or weld them.

These bolted onto the body (?) I could be wrong, cause they ddint mount to the C-Frame channel (Sorry if I sound retarded)

 

No it's attached with two clips and screws. Didn't want a deflector that attached with 3M tape
