What kind of gym does he own? Is it strictly crossfit or a regular gym like 24hr fitness. You'll benefit more if you find one that is 100% dedicated to crossfit.

Did 5 rounds of; 1/2 mile run and 50 situps last night. 31:20 :( Kinda disappointed w/ my time. The situps hurt my time the most imo.

Dont feel bad at all, if our WODs have sit ups, I usually have to break them up in 10's, the workouts kill you

I had to do pull overs with one of the better members and the sets were 4x20. Well he thought it would be a good idea to do all 80 straight through. I was feeling that one by the end. And we hadn't even gotten to the warm up or WOD.

Pull over is typically with a 4 or 6lb medicine ball. Partner up with someone, both sitting on the floor facing each other. First person takes ball and starts a sit up with the ball above head and touches ball to floor. Once back and ball has touched the floor your throw it to your partner and then come back up. Partner catches and does the same thing. It's best to catch the ball on your way down.

    Make sense?

Ya, makes perfect sense. I have done that before back in high school for weight training, but never knew it was called that. You did 80 straight?

Yeah 80. I was feeling it by the end. Just depends on who you get each day. Some people are fine with resting inbetween sets some like to do 2x40. Just the luck of the draw.

Hollow rock is where you lay on your back, elevate your arms straight above your head, about a 45* angle, and you legs straight out at a 45* angle, then you lock them out and rock hands to feet. GHDSU is the sit up machine. You lay on your back then when you go down your hand have to touch the floor, and then they have to touch your feet when you come up.

Crossfit is great guys, muscle confusion is the oldest way of working out, you are simply challenging your muscles to overcome efficiency and not allow them to adapt to a certain routine. The best workout streams from the right amount of nutrition, cardio, resistance training and goal setting. Never allowing our bodies to adapt always challenging them, freeweights, selectorized equipment, cables, and kettle bells, functional training and my newest addition, TRX (total resistance exercise). IMO TRX is amazing and blows Crossfit out of the water, TRX never allows your muscles to relax, they are always under tension. Im a certified trainer and sales manager of Golds Gym and we have been training with TRX for some time now and well the results are amazing and proven from clients. The soreness is like no other. Any who just my two cents, you guys have a great day.
