Is anyone familiar with this "tactical" seat cover by CoverKing ? I'm leaning towards this but want to make sure it's of good quality and rigid enough for storing stuff in the pouches.

Not sure about the tactical seats but I have the genuine neoprene coverking seats and I love them.

Thanks. They are waterproof and really easy to clean. Can get them through costco for 349.99 for both rows.

I followed the link for the tactical seat covers. I love the idea of it. However I would like to know what kind of fabric it is made of and how thick, etc... I'm in the market for covers like these but I want them made of ballistic nylon or something similar.

I wasn't able to determine what kind of material Coverking makes these covers out of. Of course I'm searching the site on my crap iPhone and their site doesn't seem iPhone friendly so maybe I missed something.

I'm with you on that. I was also looking to see what material the covers were made out of.

I have a set of the Coverking ballistic nylon covers that I have yet to install. The material appears to be pretty heavy, a bit "glossier" finish than I was expecting and relatively stiff. I'm comparing these to the Bartact covers I have in my Wrangler which fit like a glove and have been excellent at shedding water/mud/dust while being comfortable. I'm waiting for a bit warmer day and will install the Coverkings and try and get a pic up.

"Tactical Seat Covers" - I've heard it all now. I thought the whole "tactical" craze had passed.

Just installed my Coverking Neoprene (CR Grade) and they fit well, look custom made for the truck and I have no doubt they will protect my seats for years to come. I do a lot of watersports so something water resistant and easy to clean was a must. However... they hold a ton of heat. When I got out of the truck on my way home today I was sweating on a cold day from the heat the material holds. Shouldn't be too much of a shocker since it's the same stuff that keeps surfers and divers warm in cold waters, but I really hoped they would be a bit more heat neutral than a heat amplifier....

So I did install the drivers side on Sunday, these are not for me. Excellent quality and heavy duty, I did not like the look of them. Sub 50 posts so I cannot sell them yet, but I will trade for 125 Singles to my PayPal account.

Have you considered the Carhart seat covers? I put them on my 2017 TRD OR and they fit very well...I wanted something very tough and water resistant.

i have a set of these. black just put them on saturday night, haven't tightened and secured the strapping on them yet. i can grab some pictures at lunch

so far i like. nothing to compare them to though? i noticed that they are definitely a little slicker than i expected when i got them out of the box. actually ended up liking that as a feature as it makes it super easy to slide in and out of the truck. molle back webbing is solid, i have several pouches with some extra camping gear in them (fire, shelter, purification stuff, etc).

im happy with them. i just bought the front set to start, will probably be purchasing the rears soon.

I may have been living with unrealistic expectations, but for a frame of reference. The attached photo shows the Bartact(used to be TrekArmor) seat covers I have in my Jeep. These are a fantastic fit and finish right out of the box, most people think the are factory. They are durable, water proof, and most of all snug fitting. Expensive, yes, but I believe you get what you pay for on these.

I was skeptical on the Coverking's just based on price, the material and construction look top notch and I'm sure they would last. I was not sold on the fit and finish of them. I would say if you are looking for a good value in a durable seat cover these are fine. Price is right on them for what you get and mine have already found a new home.

I put a set of Carharts in my Explorer and just ordered a set for my 16 Taco. Loved them in the explorer but I won't get the ones for the Taco until mid March for whatever reason? Only putting on the fronts for now.

I'm seriously thinking about getting these covers from Seat Covers Unlimited for $198 off of Amazon. I've got an Inferno SR5 and I can't get the whole idea of this outta my head...which means it could be a really good idea or a really not good idea.

Anybody ever buy Seat Covers Unlimited products?

I also went with the carharrt seat covers in my 17 TRDOR, pleased with them so far. The fit is not perfect but they fit snug, are high quality, and will protect my interior. They also dont cost as much as some of those "perfect" fit seat covers. I would recommend them.

It took about one month for me to receive the rear seat Carhart covers, but once I got them they went on easier than the front seats. I really like the fit and Carhart durability! I want my 17 Tacoma completely utilitarian inside and out and these seat covers accomplish this for me...
