    i bumped into a plumber that was my apprentice back in the day..

    two of them actually lol..

    they were at the plumbing supply asking for a stainless steel fernco.

    WTF?

    Guess what they were asking for..

    They way I was taught a no hub is the one with the ridges on the band and is specifically ci×ci.
    A band seal has a smooth band and is ci,pl,st×ci,pl,st.
    But it's all regional terminology. Is it a fill valve or a ballcock? Depends on where you're from.

    We do too. But only in conditioned spaces. With drain pan, that has to drain to sump pit

    We just punch out the attic thru the soffit and terminate 6" past soffit.

    Its a fernco with the bans and two extra hose clamps for good measure. They're about as pricey as a Las Vegas stripper.
