Would a 275/75 be to much for stock gears!"?

Itll work, youll feel it. U can run 33s on stock gears.. again youll feel it.

35s and youll want to start considering regearing.

A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping

Like silver said, once u hit 33's (285) you'll start feeling it, but you'll be ok. The 4.0 engine and 3.73 will handle it, but in case u don't know you're about to lose some mpgs. Personally I wouldn't regear unless you're running a lot of weight, like an overland setup or you go up to 35s

Make sure you have proper offset/backspace wheels. Cab mount chop more than like required for 285s

    Jba uca's, bilstein's 6112 and 5125 Alcan 2" rear springs, wheeler's super bumpstops. Michelins defenders 265/75/16
You can do what I did but with an add a leaf vs the full leaf pack in your price range or do a complete OME kit with leaf spring packs and uca's. I purchased from Wheeler's off-road and JBA. Headstrong is also a good vendor to deal with.

Check my build. I'm running 285s with stock gearing and a lot of armor. Still feels pretty good. But I'm also running Konig countersteer off road wheels. Each wheel is only around 19lbs if I remember correctly.

    Workin' on it....
I was wondering about this as well. I'm just running 265's but have sliders & 1/4" steel skids and going through Montana my truck would seriously bog down on some of the longer climbs on I90 through Bozeman and Butte. I could not maintain even 45 miles an hour without being at 3300 rpm

I'm running my BP-51 kit with 285 75 16s and you def can tell you're pushing a larger tire. Going to regear with 4.56's
