You should still go. Buy a bottle of fluid and fill it up if she starts squealing at you.

    :rimshot:

Is that an old picture? I don't see the leak.

@utroda, did you notice any humming above 35/40mph, the faster the more hum, prior to your rear end grenading? I just stated noticing a hum and it feels/sounds like it's a drive train issue. Either the CB, ujoints or the rear end.

Careful, one of the guys at work accidentally said vulva instead of Volvo, when taking about the loader and the secretary was present for our safety meeting in the room at the time. She tried to claim sexual harassment since we laughed about it and it apparently made her uncomfortable.... o_O:facepalm::jerkoff:

Yes well it was a deliberate micro aggression on Brian but it's kinda what I do so he pretty much expects it now.
    Plus he's tough so...,.

Currently eBay (via Discount Tire Direct) has the best price I can find on 255/80R17 Cooper ST MAXX... Where else do you guys shop tires? Trying to be frugal here.

The price to beat is $856 shipped for 4.

I've found their eBay prices are hard to beat. Also, some times if you buy 2 sets of 2 through them you can save $100 per pair, making it a $200 savings. which is better than the $100 off when you buy 4.

I had a hum that was only lightly noticeable about 40-45. That started as soon as I put lift on, but never did anything to help the driveline. I'm sure carrier bearing drop would have fixed it. That was just my truck though.

    1. Pull up the online price on your phone and go in to discount tire store. Ask if they can beat that price, or if not, at least meet it. I got a set of tires through Amazon, that turned out to be a few dollars less direct from DT.
    2. Don't you mean 5 tires? You should replace the spare with the same tire in case you actually need it.

I believe by the time you pay for them to mount, balance and the take off disposal fee, if you decide not to keep them, the price is damn near the same +tax.

@Usethe2nd you going to have a tire machine in that shop or what?

Isn't that gunk in the joint grease? If so, your rack doesn't leak grease. I hope.
I am not sure I want to wait that long... Picking up the GX tomorrow and want to complete the majority of the build in the next month or so.
Yeah, I have seen that sale over the years, typically a week after it ends.
When I search that size at Discount Tire nothing comes up...
But no, I am only going to buy 4 of them. I'll go to Les Schwab and find a POS tire in the same size for the spare. I am not going to be running a swing out on the GX so it'll just be tucked up underneath.
I am damn sure not disposing the factory wheels/tires. Nearly brand new Michelins on dem shitz.

If anyone didn't see it on Craigslist, here she is.

"Like a virgin... touched for the very first time..."

    I cannot wait.

I have the whole "build" mapped out... Other than suspension. I am so lost.

I could have bought my coopers through DTD/ebay, but I found it more convenient to just get it over and done with in one day by going to a discount tire location near me. The difference would have been maybe $50. Called one to see if they could schedule me and have the tires, told me they didn't have them but "x" store did so I called store "x" to make the appt.

That's a good point. Time and convenience is definitely of value.

I reached out to a few places about some Fox stuff... I am not #ballin hard enough to get kings in black, and I think the blue is hideous.

ALSO: Early bird registration is open for the NWOR (June 15-18 this year). Early bird rate is good 'til March 31st I believe.

    A few changes:
-Motorcycles are gone (have their own weekend)
-More of the field we were in last year will be used
    -A few more classes for kids/teens (eh, @busmup808 )
-Two camping areas: "quiet" and "not quiet"
-The giveaways at night have apparently been "streamlined" so it won't take hours (we'll have to drink more quickly)

That's a great price, especially with free shipping. Tire crawler usually has good prices, but their shipping kills the deals. I've been trying to decide on new tires for my SCS F5s and am stuck on the St Maxx or ko2s in 34/10.5/17( they measure ~33" from what I've read).
