Lifting your truck will not give more tire clearance. Unless you are talking drop bracket lifts. Or adding bump stops to the point of limiting travel. At that point why bother?

-This should be on the home page.

Bray1197, your truck is incredible. Nice job on the upgrades. I really like the CBI wench set up to. That would have been a nice thing for Toyota to have as a factory option...just not on the TRD OR. According to dylon they are perfect in stock form because I'm sure he hasn't adding anything to his rig.

Technically speaking, he's right. Most lifts are just changing the "resting" location of the truck's suspension in an already defined and unchanged range of motion (speaking about the front). Different UCAs and LCAs, spindles, cv's, etc will actually change the geometry (or long travel or less desirable - drop bracket).

Everyone knows you lift for bigger tires, but unless you've trimmed or added larger bump stops, you'll rub (or not rub) where it would have if it wasn't lifted - once the suspension compresses to the old location; if that makes sense.

Its been explained over and over. You could fit 37s on a stock truck if you cut enough. Or just park it in the driveway and not turn the wheels.

    So does dylon.

I run 265/75/16 Cooper STT Pro's on mine. IMO it's the perfect size. I added more height and don't have to worry about rubbing.

Thanks bro! I really appreciate that compliment! I spent 9 months planning the build prior to having the truck lol

It looks great man. I've had 6 of these trucks, have lifted, made mistakes, learned. Appreciate those that build their trucks rather than "build" them for a certain image at the grocery store.

It's my second one and like you I made a bunch of mistakes on my first build. I had an 07 Tacoma inbuilt for overlanding and learned what was functional and what was as you say grocery store image lol. That being said I'm still learning lol, I thought this build would be complete, and now I find myself still ordering parts lol
