They'll be fine. We're more worried about your inability to straddle ruts and/or have decent tires

So, I only have the standard warranty...100k miles/10 years, only things that fluid 'touches' in a nutshell.

I'm thinking I'm just gonna say fuck it, hold my beer, and hammer down!

It's the only one of its kind :D

I designed it on paper and a friend of a friend welded it up for me. He didn't have a pipe bender so all the pipes are welded. It gives a rugged look to the truck and it's my signature piece of the truck that everyone who knows me/my truck knows and can pick out on the road.

    It's inspirational lol!

More and more, I lean toward making my own too. I work in IT at a conveyor belt accessory manufacturer, there is plenty of steel to be bought here and welder, cutters. grinders, torches, and we just got a new Lincoln Torchmate 4800 plasma table :)

It's my signature piece like i said, but i didn't know better when I designed it and had it made. At this point knowing what I know. I wish I would have designed and had it made like a hybrid front bumper. My wife and I have had heated conversations about (me mentioning) changing to a plate or a hybrid. She doesn't like how those look. I think she understands the functionality of them, but i think her dislike for the look makes her be the way she is about it (plus the 300 we spent 4.5 years ago to have it made).

Oh, I could get one made for little over material cost.
Only been since highschool shop class that I've welded. Like riding a bike lol

If I only 'learn' a few times, thats more than fine by me. I just dont want to turn into a liability needing to get yanked out of shit every 5 minutes.
