    You should be able to get away with either offset of -10 or -12. I'm running the SCS Ray10s (17") with a -10 offset and 285/70/17 tires with no rubbing at full lock or when off roading. But also keep in mind that tires will also play a role if you get any rubbing or not.

    I run Coopers as well, but the Discoverer ATPs. Not as much bulky thread as the STTs, but with a -12 offset, you should be fine.

    I did not need to extend the brake lines. Up to about a 3" lift on the 3rd gen and you have plenty of brake line play left unless you go CRAZY off road.....like Moab or serious rock crawling and even then I'm not sure you'd have an issue. I did use channel locks and bend each E-brake bracket mount down about 1/4" as they were pretty tight.

    Toyota doesn't market a truck to the off-road crowd nor do they market adding aftermarket parts. They market a lifestyle truck built for pavement.

    Thats like saying Jeep marketed the original YJ as an offroad vehicle and everyone is mad that they put a Dana 35 in the rear, and we all have to put in ford 8.8's....

    Come on man, the only frustration and disappointment you should have is in yourself for not researching everything needed and not willing to do everything needed to complete the lift. Blaming Toyota is silly.

    no one has answered if we should go with 888s if we plan on doing a winch / bumper and still want 3 inches of lift....

    should we do bilsteins on a +1 setting with 888s? or just stick with 887s?

    So what is the fender to Hub measurement people are getting that say they have 3" of lift I ask this because the 2nd gen at 3" is like 23" Hub to fender but on the 3rd gen if you went up 3" from stock you would be at 24" since it sits higher in the travel range from gen2 so that's technically a 4" lift and would have no down travel left so only 2" from stock is still a 3" lift correct? Which would be 23" Hub to fender

    Gen 2 measurements have nothing to do with gen 3. If you measure before and after and the difference is 3. Then it's a 3" lift.

    Your mistaken sir since full droop is 24.5" Hub to fender on both trucks and gen2 is 20" stock and gen3 is 21" stock yes 23" on gen3 is only 2" lift but it is 3" in the travel range like gen2 then technically it is 3" lift

    That's not how it works. Droop doesn't get added in. By your logic long travel kits would be like 8" lift kits. They aren't.

    Lift kits are measured by lift. Not droop.

    It's to do with the springs they raise the vehicle more on gen 3 since they are stiffer but if you are swapping springs now both trucks are equal

    How does droop not get added in... that's literally your travel range when you lift you lose droop

    You don't add it in but it is the biggest factor don't you see that if you had 24.5" stock Hub to fender you couldn't lift your truck as your ucas would be smacking your coil
