Yes they all have gussets.

No they do not all have black bushings.

During my inquiries, I asked TC about different color bushings. They said they do happen to have some black ones around from a military order they were working on, but they are not a normal offering. I asked if they were the same polyurethane as the red ones, or were they the black nylatron ones they offer for LT/Race kits, that are moissy and a PITA. He said poly, exact same material as the red.

I said sign me up.

But I had to buy these direct from TC to get that, and consequently they were a little more expensive than they would have been elsewhere...with red bushings. They can't undercut their dealers.

So these are special snowflakes.

 

So as some of you may be aware many high end cars now use the stereo system to supplement the engine sound. I kid you not, BMW and others do this. Basically even with the stereo turned off the speakers are actually making fake engine sounds so the car is perceived as more high performance. Read all about it here.

So I'm thinking that Entune radio is probably full of security holes. Maybe shortly after these UCAs get put on someone could download an Entune virus to scocar's truck that makes fake squeaking sounds. Everything is on a CAN bus these days so you could make the squeaks only happen when one of the accelerometers in the vehicle detect bumps. Better still we could use the passenger seat occupancy sensors used by the airbag system to make sure squeaks only happen when he is in the car by himself! Oh the hilarity that would ensue...
