I was pulling the bolts out of my 2016 TRD-OR front skid plate and they seem really soft and easy to strip. What size are they and is anybody using aftermarket ones that are any better?

Why were you pulling the bolts out?

Can't go wrong with Grade 8.

For what it's worth, the TRD pro plate comes with new bolts and use different, much more substantial mount points. I'm not sure if the front OR and Sport skidplates are the same, but once I got my Sport factory skidplate off, no way I'd even consider putting the factory one back on. Mine was already dented, not even sure how, and it's almost as flimsy as a tin can. I consider the $350 for the TRD plate, or another aftermarket one, totally worth the investment if you spend any time off road in rocky areas.

Hmm I thought some came with hardware.

Stock is probably fine but if you want to replace them look for Zync coated Grade 8 bolts. I can't confirm size but grade 8 should be strong enough and Zync will prevent rust.
