The last few times I have disconnected my battery to do some work, I have experienced hard starts (engine turns over, but will not start, then starts right up after cycling the ignition) and a rough idle while stopped with transmission in drive. The issues clear up after a day or two. I checked the battery and alternator and both tested fine. Anyone else ever have this happen?

You've 'reset' the computer when disconnecting the battery. It needs to relearn, which is why it runs rough for a while.
