I did this on mine then silicone to prevent leaks. I had 4 small cracks about 1/2", 2 on each side. That was 3 years ago. It's just starting to work past one of the small holes. If it get's worse I will have it welded. I was running stock body mounts until last year when I put poly's in. No cage. Don't ever plan an interior cage.

I swapped out all the body mounts for poly and the truck feels much better now. My cab was literally 1/2" lower on one side with the stock mounts. Before I would feel an extra body movement (I figured it was tire flex or valving or something) but the poly mounts actually made the cab move around much less.

You think the poky mounts would help with the cracking ? Was the install easy ? image.jpgimage.jpg

The install was much easier than expected. I loosen all of one side, jacked it up, removed the old ones, and installed the new ones. I thought it would be much more tedious but it was fairly easy. I used a floor jack and a 4x4 to jack it up from the pinch weld and would set a jack stand under the corner I was working on just in case.

Buy the discs. They're like $350 for full kit.

    Edit.....my bad they're like $430.

Does anyone have any experience aligning their own stuff. Just had my Total chaos 2+ kit installed and not even 12 hours later I already knocked the alignment out of spec (steering wheel cocked to the right). After speaking with total chaos they said to use a paint pen to mark each alignment cam to frame in a couple of spots so I can turn them back to where they belong to avoid having to pay for alignments all the time.

the paint pen technique is the best way to do it. I have 90% of the bolts on my 08 penned and pretty much every suspension related bolt on the 17 done. Its super convenient when doing a prep before taking the truck out and will save you a ton of time since you don't have to hit every bolt with a wrench.

You also may want to add the tc cam tab gussets, since I've installed mine it takes a lot more effort to knock the truck out of alignment

or just drop a nice thick bead behind the factory tabs. accomplishes pretty much the same thing if your OEM tabs are still intact ...and I still did TC cam tabs :anonymous:

It pretty close. The only thing I think helps the tc tabs work a little better is they fit really tight to the cams where as the stock tabs have about an 1/8" of play. But if you're gonna run stock tabs, definetly throw a weld behind them like Cliff said

Got the lower link mounts on the frame/axle located and tacked in. Gonna notch the frame 4" which will give me 5" of ground clearance at full bumpimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
