Best Websites for Used 3rd Gens?

Beginning the buying process, and I was wondering if any of you had any recommendations for good websites to monitor for used 3rd gens?

 

E-bay motors, CarMax, even your local dealer's site...Craig's list...

 

Thanks. The supply for used third gens is relatively low across most sites, so I was just wondering if there were some sites that offered more selection than others.

Also watch Autotrader.com as well as cars.com, and it can be worth watching Carvana if they're in your area.

Still, the third gens have been out for what, 17 or 18 months?

Not a lot of people sell a truck they've had for only a year unless there's some extreme circumstance like joining TW. I suspect you'll see an increase in supply when the leases start wrapping up.

Good luck in your search. I think Autotrader will do alerts when something pops up.

Also, another thought -- see if there's someone around you who has access to the car auctions. We have a repair shop here that also has a buying service where you tell them what you want and they'll watch the wholesale auctions for a matching vehicle and if you want it they'll buy it and sell it to you for a flat fee markup.

 

Just reply to every whiny girl that cries about their truck on here and offer to buy it.

 

cars.com is where I found mine. Was just on there looking at TRD Sport in 2WD. Now I'm fighting the urge!!

 

I've always used autotrader.com It's also where I found my Tacoma for a good price..a plane ticket and a 600 mile test drive home and I've been happy ever since.

 

I used cargurus.com
I looked in different areas and found some markets were much better priced. Ie, Phoenix was a few grand cheaper than finding one in Vegas.
