    Would love to, but I'm getting a big delivery of lumber to frame out this house. If anyone wants to come frame out a house this Saturday! I can teach newbies and will provide lunch!!

    I want to start coming to these small get togethers. I moved to Philly from Scranton and my friends up there used to do bonfires and cookouts all the time.

    On the attic ladder topic....I helped my neighbor replaced his attic ladder 2 years ago. The man is his mid 70s. Though he's very healthy I obviously did must of the lifting... I feel like taking the old all wood one out was harder than putting the new wood/aluminum one...
    We brought the whole new unit all the way up to the attic and drill 2 2x4s to the ceiling across the opening even before removing the old one (this was on the basement stairs so he didn't care for ceiling holes) it was like having yet another set of hands and the units rested on the 2x4same while we removed all the screws and while we squared, shimmed and secure the new one. When done, we removed the 2 2x4s and caulk the holes...

    Yup. The 2x4 temp support was actually on the instruction sheet for the Werner attic ladder that I just picked up at HD.
    It's about 40 lbs and every little bit of support helps, since my wife will be helping.

    Nah the tool for the clamps that come from factory... no more hoseclamps for this guy... thats why my shit tore... hose clamp screw got caught on ice and as the cv spun it ripped the boot
