I had to do an interview via skype. That was terrible.

 

I do linux sys admin work and I don't mind in person interviews that much. I used to get stressed over them but once I started to realize that I can't do much to prepare for an interview ... if I know it, I know it, if not, no sense in trying to lie about it and guess. I've been on the other side of the table interviewing someone to join my team and I'd rather hear them explain their thought process to answering a question rather than some bs answer or the right answer without knowing the logic.

No matter what, I HATE phone interviews, especially ones done by someone from HR/Recruiting because they tend to ask technical questions and are looking for specific answers they have written on their paper. Either you get the answer right or not.

I'm so glad I have yet to have a video conference type of interview (unless you count the a skype interview with a remote employee as part of my on-site interview with a company).

 

Lucky you, I got my degree in Linux and have probably touched a distro about 3 times in the past 4 years since finishing school....hah

 

Thank god tomorrow is Friday. By the end of the day tomorrow I will have 76 hours in for this week.
