Has anyone figured out a way to anchor the passenger OEM all-weather floor mat?

Mine keeps sliding forward even with the little garbbie-nubbies rubbed well into the floor carpet. The driver's side is great with the anchors that are in it for obvious reasons, but the passenger's side seems like a missed opportunity.

I've done a good bit of searching for an answer to this problem, but I may have missed the obvious thread/link somewhere.

Also, I own the floor mats I own. I'm not interested in the "Get the Husky/WeatherTech mats! They come with puppies and rainbows!" comments...

    Thanks ahead of time!

I tried sticking velcro to the underside of my OEM all weather Tacoma mats with RTV silicone. The velcro did a great job sticking to the floor but the velcro/silicone combo did not adhere strongly to the rubber mat material.

Yep, same problem here. Nothing I found will stick to the rubber mat.

The only thing that sticks is dust and mud!

Based on what I've observed from my lady getting in and out of the truck... The cable with clips wouldn't hold up. I do like the part you linked to tho. I might look into that a little more...

Yep, same thing with mine. I might try smaller pieces of velcro in the corners instead of a couple of long strips across the middle and sides. Trying to keep it from sliding up not anchor the whole damn thing to the carpet.

Don't know why the hell Toyota didn't put the locking tabs on the passenger side as well, for the prices we are paying for these trucks i dont think that would have made them go broke .. i need to figure something out cause it drives me nuts that every time someone rides in passenger seat that mat slides forward

theres a thread on it here
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/passenger-floor-mat-keeps-moving.408732/page-6#post-14243798

used the idea suggested there and actually used VW/Audi parts lol
    https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-volkswagen-audi-parts/floor-mat-screws-black/3d0061796b41/
    https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine...mat-securing-hardware-set-black/3d0061795b41/

I didn't get them from ECS as shipping to canada is a rip off and they were actually cheaper to get from the dealer.
Problem solved for me. Now my girlfriend is allowed in the truck again lol.

No offense, @ajohnson250, but understand some folks might be a bit suspicious when a new user joins and two of three total posts promote a product with the third post answering a question about said product. Especially when one of those posts resurrects a six month old thread.

Just something to be aware of...

Several options out there from various threads:

Good point, I didn't even pay attention to that. I checked out the site, watched the installation video and liked what I saw. Hopefully they don't suck! For $15 if they do I'm not out too much.

Once they get here and I install, I'll post a short review and let others know if they're any good.

*shrug* It could also be completely innocent, someone who is excited about a cool product they found. Not enough info to say one way or the other for sure. Store website is registered to an Alex Kantarovich so it's not like it's a slam-dunk or anything.

    No prob

That's the cheapest one there is and only has what you need for one mat.
