Need some information on replacing headlights. Do you have to add anything to put projector or led lights on or do they just plug and play? Thanks for any help or information.

What you CAN do is find LED bulbs that fit the stock headlights and put them in.

What you SHOULD do is retrofit projectors and HIDs.

There are plenty of people in both camps. I've done both on a previous car and prefer the retrofit method. The big downsides are 1) it takes time and effort to retrofit (or $$$$) and 2) if you get hit in the front and damage a light, it's not as easy as buying from the dealer or eBay. The pros, however, are that you'll be able to use ALL of your light output and you won't be blinding/annoying other drivers on the road.

Thanks. If I get hit I think my bumper will save my headlight. I hope so anyway.

Yea, lots of other variables, but just something to keep in mind is that replacing a custom retrofitted headlight is going to require all that time and work...again. When I had retrofits in a previous car and rear ended someone, my insurance gave me the $$ for the parts, but it was up to me to put the new one together. I said F it and bought a pair of black housed headlights from eBay and went back to halogen bulbs.

    Anyone seen my wallet?
What are you looking to spend is the question.

A proper set of retros with all the wires, adapters, converters, hid kit is going to be north of 600. 1k for a bang up kit

Leds with cut off shields are 80-200

The answer to your actual question is no you don't have to add anything and yes they are plug & play. Most aftermarket headlight assemblies come with everything prewired and all you do is plug them into your existing wiring.
Retro's, upgraded wiring harnesses, and all that other stuff is "optional"
I bought a set of aftermarket lights and they are a vast improvement over stock.
