I sleep 3-4 hours Friday mornings til about noon then get up for the day to go back to bed at 11 if we can make it up that late. Sleep overnight Saturday til the baby wakes us up at 530-6 and maybe catch an hour or two Sunday night before I have to go in. It all depends on my wife and kid's schedules if I stay up longer. I have been sleeping terribly ever since the stomach bug hit and has felt sour for like 2 weeks.

Yupp. There's a few of us. I think we're all nuts.

If I didn't get a 2 hour nap in I would have been up since 5am working to 7am. Thank god for the nap! I feel decent with some caffeine.
That's not the nasty bug that's been making rounds is it? We have to officers out with that on day shift. Which has been making the rest of us on 2nd/3rd hanging over.

So, ive come to realise that i now despise all holidays, major sporting events, and anything that causes people to travel unnecessarily for something that they could just watch on TV.

I'm at a bout 5 hours more too. Well.....unless a day shifter calls in again. God the most top heavy shift and they're all out leaving the rest of us to cover. It's ridiculous.

Been down that road a time or two lol. I can't be mandated for overtime this morning since I have to be back at 2pm for a double. Hopefully day shift doesn't screw ya this morning!

I wish I had that luck. Especially since (aside from a 2 hour nap) I've been up since 5am. Once I get home about 720 I will be passed out by 730 for a good 8-10 hours, lol. Unless they have other plans for me. Problem is the other two midnight guys covered the last 2 days. So i guess they will probably see it as my turn.

Haha gotta spread the love!! I changed my schedule recently, work a 16 Wednesday, 8 on Thursday, 16 on Friday and have Sat morning till Wed afternoon off. I don't get overtime for the doubles but the extra time off is completely worth it. Wed-Fri I'm somewhat of a zombie but having mini vacations every week and only having to commute 3 days is amazing. Plus it keeps me from mandatory OT.

I think I'd prefer that too. Honestly if we even worked 12's with alternating schedules I'd be super happy. I'm stuck at a structured gig, so 8 hour shifts 11 to 7 with Tuesday/wed off. For ever and ever, and ever. Though I'm "supposed" to be moving up to days soon. Same off days but 7 to 3. So basically if I want to go on little "weekend" trips I have to go alone because it's the middle of everyone elses work week.

We have this with our new sup; she sucks at talking to people and it's completely silent when she's here. Everyone walks on eggshells when she is on and there is no sup above her. When the reg mgr is here we are told to bypass her and go straight to him because he dislikes and disagrees with her promotion. 4 of us have already filed formal complaints and she's been put on notice.

Very lucky. There's 3 of us that work midnights...each of us works with that person 3days a week. I never see higher management unless I stay over an hour late

That is what is known as "Hostile work environment" Not fun and very illegal! If they are singling you out and trying to get you to quit it's called "constructive discharge" also very illegal!

I've been working at my job for 34 years. Good bosses, bad bosses and ones in between. I think I've had around 16 bosses and several managers in that time. At least in my place, the shitty bosses aren't around forever...as well as the good ones. I'm at the point in my career, with 3-4 years left,IDGAF anymore, especially when some of the bosses are 20 years younger than me.
