Looks like after 4 Tacoma's its time to move up to a Tundra. The wife and I want to do more travel by camper and want something that would max my 2014 TRD AC out. Should be working out a deal in a few days. Keep an eye out on the B/S/T as the Leer topper , bed mat, and front Husky's will all be available. TW has been great to me and I hope Tundra Talk is just as good.

I looked at a Tundra before getting my 2015 Tacoma until i added up what it would cost a week for gas. $90 - $100 a week.

I had a Tundra. Averaged 16 mixed with the 5.7 crewmax 4x4 (hand calc). 18 to 19 freeway average, with 21 being the best tank on a road trip . Considering the engine size, I was very happy. My 200 Land Cruiser does about the same. In town only I get 13 to 15 in the LC.

I averaged 17 mixed with my Taco and my 12 4runner. Maybe the 3rd gen does better, but after all the powertrain complaints, I decided to avoid for now.

Gas mileage difference isn't an issue as I work from home so my daily commute is easy. Thats why my 14 TRD AC has only 22K on it. Needing the towing capacity is the big reason for the change. Wish I could keep both but not very practical.

Tundras are super nice & very spacious. My friend had a crewmax and that thing felt like a yaught with so many bells & whistles. The 5.7 will give you enough power & towing capacity to where your next step up would have to be a diesel. Good luck

When the deal is done I will list the items on the B/S/T I will keep those of you requesting items in the loop first.

Tego-Taco I am sure it will cost a lot to ship the heavy long bed mat to Canada but when the time comes I will research it for you

That's my future plan as well, to go the Tundra way. I drive company vehicle so no big deal on gas. Either way I'm getting 12/13 mpg on my Tacoma with E rated 35s.

After the Tacoma, I'm going Tundra or Sequoia with the 5.7.

I had an '06 Tundra. It would get maybe 17 if you were VERY CAREFUL not to let it downshift on climbs. If you could keep the R's down, that was the only way to keep the mileage from going completely stinko. I had a truck camper then. With the camper on, it was 10-12 at best. Also had lots of squeaks and rattles. Most disappointing Toyota I ever owned. Maybe the new (huge) ones are better.

If I needed more truck, I'd go F150 personally.
