My super awesome painted TRD Sport rims with 285/70-17 Terra-Grapplers and 1 inch Bora wheel spacers will become available around end of Feb.

None of these trails are gravel. Look at last years pics. You're gonna get stuck. It's pretty much a fact. That's why whoever it was that asked about spending $1000 got told to buy tires. You don't need armor for the trip, you need offroad tires. The more M/T they are the better and the bigger they are the better. If it rains at all, good luck with crappy tires, even with 4wd. If anyone goes to Turkey bay and it rains at all, good luck with mud tires, 35s and 4wd.

 

What needs to be done to run 34s? ANy one have any input on MPGs with these beasts?

 

I'm not a v6 so no mpgs input but to fit them with stock bumper, fender and suspension you need a cab mount chop and a 4.5" back spaced wheel.

You will lose 37 mpgs. At that point, you will be around -16 mpg and will have to measure in gallons per mile (gpms).



But seriously, I saw 16-19 on 32's with my 2nd gen. I think I remember Dave saying he's at 13-16 on 35's. That should give you some idea of a baseline.

 

Looks like you're on 34s? What's your MPG like?

 

You'll need a "union" pictured below. This screws into your diff where the breather is located.


Some fuel line to go on the union, and a small hose clamp for each end.
