I like punch and rumble of bass, not that fluttering vibrating drowning all other sounds type of bass usually found in shitty $500 large frame cars that have $2000 worth of stereo lol

 

Yeah, my girl at the time hated it so much lol. I ended up taking them out and giving them to a friend.

 

I like clarity in audio gear, no matter hoe "loud" it's perceived.

Hence the reason I put in a crossover setup in my truck. They aren't as "loud" as the factory ones were, but are night and day in clarity and sound quality.

 

What does this consist of?? I would love to swap my stock speakerz. They blow hard af

 

I didn't take any install pics when I did it. Was before I joined here lol

But, it was really easy. I did it in about 2 hours, maybe 3 tops, but I was being very careful and deliberate. Drank beers and smoked cigs, bullshitted with my cousin during as well.
I could probably knock it out now, in about 1.5 hours.

Disco the batt. Pop the door controls off, remove door panel. Cut wiring from 6x9 about 6" away from speaker. Cut tweeter wiring about 4" away from connector.....

...ya know what, just come to LBL with speakers and I'l put them in lol

It really is easy to do you speakers though man.

If you can operate some cutters, screw driver, and crimpers, you can install car audio.

A component kit is what you want to separate highs n lows between tweeters and your larger drivers.
I've got Memphis Audio in my truck right now and I'm happy so far. Looks like you can get a 6x9 kit or a 6 1/2 or 6 3/4 kit, then just add the other set of speakers to the order.

I recommend calling them in person and they will hook you up right. They got me my adapter rings for the 6x9's in the door, adapter plugs to tie into factory harness, and straps to support the tweeters in the door. Give them a call and see what they can do.
Might even suggest a different brand once you give them budget and personal preferences in music you listen to, very knowledgeable
