Obviously not the same thing they have been giving Brady. This will be his 17th year and he will be 40 in August.

If I were him I would retire. Being a steelers fan I hope he gives us at least a year to find a suitable replacement though.

I don't think Brady has been hurt like Ben's been hurt. Tom isn't as physically large as Ben, either, and that wears you out too.

And yeah, I also think Tom's been eating the souls of orphaned children or huffing kittens. Dude still looks and moves like he's 30. Definitely some dark magic at play here.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
I think he'll play one more year... (I've been wrong before)

Either way, I DON"T think Landry Jones is the answer... And before anyone suggests Romo.... Not only no... Hell no!

He missed the entire 2008 season with a knee injury. He finished 2009 with a broken ring finger and 3 fractured ribs. Who knows what they play with and don't announce.

He definitely hasn't had the same kind of injury record. His worst one was that knee in '08, really. But, he plays a different kind of football than Roethlisberger does. He's more mobile, especially in recent years, than Ben. Seems like Ben has been more likely to stay in the pocket and take a sack the last few seasons. But, that's probably because he's less mobile because of injuries.
And Brady has definitely obsessively taken care of himself. That does help as well. His idea of cutting loose is to have some avocado-based 'ice cream', lol.

I don't think anybody in Pittsburgh wants Romo, lol. He's a china doll.

I know a LOT of Broncos fans, and there's a petition circulating to ban him from the city since he stated he would love to be a backup in Denver. Apparently no one wants the Glass Quarterback.

Tom Terrific Brady will play till he is 43, granted he has no injuries.

He will still be amongst top QB passers with top 7 QBR at that age as well.

With a solid O-Line, the sky is the limit.

That's the key, especially as a QB ages. Regardless of who they are, if you've got an O-line that lets them stand in the pocket for 3-4 seconds unimpeded, they can do wonders. If their pocket collapses like a soap bubble then their accuracy is obviously going to suffer.
That being said, some QB's (and their receivers) can work with a collapsing pocket, too. Rodgers throws like he's standing still even when he's on the run, Brady can dump the ball off before the D-line can get pressure on him, Dak or what's-his-name in Seattle ( :stirthepot: ) can run away like nobody's business when they're pressured, etc.

Others turn into interception machines *cough*Rivers*cough*

    Well put..

A little National Football League IQ I see.. There is just so so so many variables that factor into the QB equation, it is astronomical. In a nutshell however, you stated what is correct.

What is funny, is then you have someone like Peyton Manning, whom is an all time great. However while his line did a decent job of protecting him in Denver, as he aged his arm got a little weak. Its like he had the vision of where the ball needed to go only he could not deliver it to the bread basket.

I am not taking anything away from him, while he was a great passer down to his last snap, all I am saying is that toward the end of his career about 25% of his passes were ducks, or short. Not the usual 90% laser he typically had.

That is fine if you accomplished what he did though, nothing negative to say about him, in fact I am a huge fan of Manning.

Then you have your all around Gunslinger like Favre. Work the pocket, escape tackles, run for a shorrrrrrt 1st down, throw the deep ball, throw the laser, take the big hit and pop back up, throw on the run, and of course throw the INTERCEPTION. With or without an O-Line he was a master of his craft.

Some IQ. I won't claim to be a superfan or an expert, lol. Just somebody who really likes watching football and has been doing it for 25+ years. :notsure:
I actually almost prefer to watch a game where my Pats aren't playing. That way I can appreciate an epic play regardless of which team performs it, lol. I'm not rooting for either one, so I can just enjoy the game.

Absolutely true about Manning, especially when you look at his TD / INT numbers during his last year (I think that in the 10 games he played he threw 9 TD's but 16 or 17 INT's). He knew where he wanted the ball to go, but he couldn't get his arm to put it there. Fortunately for him (and the Broncos as a franchise) they had an unstoppable defense that year that more than made up for any shortcomings they had on the offensive side. It's often said that 'defenses win championships' and the 2015 Broncos were a perfect example.

I think Brady is a Bot. Some folks on sports radio think Big Ben is frustrated with Todd Haley and maybe Tomlin too. What they are doing just isn't working well enough to get past the Patriots.

Can't say as I blame him. Tomlin's decision to play straight up zone against the Patriots offense (regardless of who's playing QB) is just :der: and it must be frustrating for Ben to watch since he probably knows better, from his experience playing against zone vs man.

Ben will return for another season, potentially 2 seasons!:fingerscrossed:He's not going to forfeit $20 million dollars for this upcoming season and he wants that 7th ring for Pittsburgh!

Defeating the Cheatriots(Patriots)if that's the case and winning the superbowl will be the glorious exit!:woot:If he decides to retire than there's absolutely nothing wrong with that decision.NFL records,2 SuperBowls, and a HOF'er!:thumbsup:And his health!

    GO STEELERS!

    Yes sir. Sounds about right.

I am a Die hard Dallas Cowboy for life. As well as San Antonio Spurs.

However I like so many other teams as well, baseball, nfl, ncaa, hockey, you name it. We all know that some people absolutely freak out if you are a fan of one team and root for another, its the forbidden fruit lol. I am not ashamed thought. I am a sports enthusiast and I always will be, be that as it may to whomever lol.

Its actually sad to see an inevitable downfall of a "great" athlete, but like it is, father time will go on.

Team loses game. Opponent must have been cheating.

You're just grouchy because none of our players got close enough for Tomlin to try tripping them, lol!

    True.

And unfortunately the Patriots, whether with Tom Terrific or Garrapalo, will be a threat for years to come...
