Burlington VT, Franconia Notch/White Mtns, NH, like Noel said anything north of Bar Harbor along the coast is beautiful, Acadia National State Park is probably the most picturesque place I've visited in New England. You should seek out @Chux as well. He's made a couple of Trips to the NE area and posted reports in his thread.

Old man problems. Hurt my back last Saturday lifting my dogs fat ass in the back of my FJ. Had to travel Mon-wed. Between flying and hotel beds I could barely move by the time I got home Wed night. Went to Chiropractors yesterday and I've got a herniated disc. I feel like I should be outside in a robe with a cane yelling at kids to get off my lawn.

Seriously though it sucks. Never had any sort of back pain before and it legit sucks ass.

 

I see what Cupcake goes through when her back really acts up..horrible

 

That sucks, Seth.
Ask your crack doc about learning some stretches that you can do to relieve pain from that disc if it acts up when you can't get in to see them (like when you're traveling, etc)

 

Ouch. Is there anything that can be done? Ors that one of the things that just needs time to heal? Just rest/meds and PT?

Hope you feel better soon. Shitty part is that with the Slothlings it won't probably get better quickly, being that you'll be playing with them and all sorts of stuff.

 

If it helps both my knees are still f'd up. PT is over and after sitting at my work desk for a while they lock up so I have to use the desk to help me up.........been going to the gym/volleyball and it'll feel great during all of that, then i sit at my "throne" at work and i feel the need to just cut them off. Yay desk jobs lol. Did just upgrade my work computer though.

Definitely going to. I actually was stretching in Yeager and Regan airports Wed night. Probably looked ridiculous but didn't care.

PCP would have just given muscle relaxers/ pain killers. I'd prefer to do without those,plus they just mask the problem don't solve it.

Chiropractors is about the only thing you can do. And take it easy/ drink a fuck ton of water to help repair cartilage.

 

Exactly..chiro is the only reason Cupcake can still walk. 2 degenerating discs.

What kind of mattress do you have?

 

Agree about the painkillers and muscle relaxers. I can't stand them.
Interesting about the water though, didn't know that. Learn something new on TW everyday, and doesn't always have to be truck related

I found link to a company that makes plastic inserts for leaf springs, the inserts go in the tip/ends of the leafs and prevent creaking sounds. Just drill a proper hole on the end of it and pop these suckers and and then will by design not creak for the longevity of the insert. However rocks and sand getting into the leaf packs is more likely but its inevitable.
