See this is exactly the type of thing I was looking for...Just need more wake up juice first...

On a serious note I'm looking at making a slower light weight .223 for coyote hunting (don't want an exit hole in my hides)
You think if I go 45gr hollow with a lighter powder charge it'll still be moving too fast? I tried it with 55gr FMJ and it was still too hot at 100 yards

Fmj will do double holes in everything, there are some of those varminter rounds that just granade that would help a lot.

Just trying to do it a little cheaper than buying those Hornady Varminters. It's not the end of the world either. A couple minutes with a needle and thread fixes most of it if I'm wrong...Besides it's a struggle to even want to skin them anymore

Done deal. You can have the hides and all the bugs that come with it. We're getting into the good part of the year for it (Mostly because the waterfowl seasons close and I don't have anything else to hunt)

I'll shoot inside 400yds but I like them as close as I can get. I take my shotgun for a reason :D

So I've never done coyote before but you wouldn't eat them so is the hide the only reason to go?

For the hide and population control are really about it. If you don't do a little bit to mitigate the population you end up with a shit-ton of mangy/rabid coyotes

Close to it depending on the coyote. Depends on color and length as well as how well you cleaned and patched it. If you can find a larger coyote with its belly bleached white you can get well over the $50 figure depending on the buyer. Used to be more.......
