Saw this out on Reddit today, and looks like it just happened yesterday. CRAZY! He ended up pushing a bit too far and had to be airlifted out to safety.

    A) He was insane.

    B) He didn't want the truck anymore and figured having it swept away by the ocean would be a nice way to get insurance to cover a new vehicle for him.

    C) He should be billed for the rescue costs. Taxpayers shouldn't get stuck with expensive rescues like this when this man clearly put himself in this situation on purpose.

Dumb Ass. They should send him the rescue bill.

Good thing he didn't take a TurdGen out there. Probably would have ended up getting sand in the gas tank @AFMurse2014

This is my hood. Yeah, you can drive out there. There's actually a BLM offroad park right near there as well.

It's not uncommon for people to walk out on the jetty during high surf and get swept off and killed, but that's the first time I've heard of anyone driving out there during high surf.

It is a Nissan D21 (they mislabeled the video) and out best guess is he was
    a)drunk,
    b) high,
    c) not local and just didn't know better (out of state plate)

As far as I know the truck was left there and I would assume it got swept out. I'll check for it later today.

Why would he be standing IN THE OPEN DOOR AGAINST THE WALL like that, when he just saw his truck get pushed aside like a matchbox car? It's like he wanted to get chopped in half.

What a dummy.....he must have been drunk or something.

What reasonable person wouldn't have dropped that in reverse and hammered down after the first wave that spun the vehicle sideways?
