Almost spot on, except the last part. It's actually "let me drink this liquor to see if this shit goes away".

 

I self medicated pretty heavily on all my flights and Tuesday night after dinner. Meetings on Wed were so rough, couldn't sit down or drink.

Had surgery for a blown up L4/L5 on Dec 20. Going back to work this Monday.
I had no back pain at all, but severe pinched nerve in my right leg. Real bad pain, like up all night pain.

When I woke up in recovery, I told the nurse I had to take a leak. She said I have two good legs, walk over to the bathroom.
This was an hour after back surgery.
Freakin modern medicine!
