    Hey Guys,

I work for a small vastly growing LED lighting company. We have a new light called the ALPHA light its a 12v 2amp LED small light bar. I was wondering what you guys think of it. They come in two models Black and aluminum Silver.

    • Developed as a slimmer, brighter, and more modern alternative to existing systems
    • Fully potted and sealed with no mechanical fasteners to rely on for waterproofness

    • Virtually air-free design means no fogging and no chance of water intrusion

    • Made in the USA of high quality materials, designed, assembled, and tested by MI.

    • Available in a variety of lengths, custom sized in 6-inch increments

    • Unique and patent-pending mounting options means these can be used anywhere

    • Impact and vibration resistant due to total encapsulation of components

    • Advanced thermal design pulls heat from electronics more efficiently than any other light

    Features
    7 Inch Width
    10 Cree LEDS
    50K+ Lighting Hours
    Lumens 14.5k

Please leave any reviews positive or negative. I haven't gotten a chance to mount them on my tacoma, waiting for a day it isn't pouring rain or snowing. Will uploads pics when I get the chance.

    Update"

Just a little bit of a backstory on Alpha light

This product is a little unique with the lens being designed to be powerful enough to grow coral reef for the first time. As well as being bright enough for the entire tank of the aquarium
is was going to be in.

We were playing around with the idea of making a spreader light. Using this same technology we were able to make small yet very powerful spreader light / Light bar. We brought this to our distributors and blew away their expectations.

    Here is the aquarium tank

Interesting design, though A for effort - I think it's ugly. Also your method of sealing seems to be a fail for the end user, as any damage to the light or seal and they're not able to self service their unit.

I wouldn't say it's ugly but I'm not sure I would want one. What kind of distance will these throw? I don't see any reflectors or focusing lenses

I will say from the look of it that the front plate will get covered in snow/ice in the winters blocking most or all the light, and because LED don't put out the radiant heat like halogen it will stay there until the sun melts it.

I'm always interested to see new ideas. Futuristic design, but that's all I can really say about them. A full review can't be given unless we can compare to existing lights, output shots, longevity, etc. Also, everyone on here already knows that light output cannot be fully appreciated in photographs vs the naked eye, but that would also be something you can share to showcase your product. Another thing that I didn't see mentioned is price point. Aside from looking different, what makes your lights any better than what is already on the market? With so many competitors out there at extreme ends of the spectrum, it'd be a hard sell if all you're bringing is "looks".

If you need an official TacomaWorld tester, I can volunteer, just send me a couple lights and I'll put them through their paces. :D

Come to think of it, OP would benefit from further testing in two different climates.
