Now I put the 275/65R18(32") again, it's amazing how the lift does not look as much as in the old ones, there in the photo it has a 50mm lift and it does not look like it.

I went through the same exercise with my Tacoma in the US. Lifted it a bit for bigger tires. Then put on the bigger tires and it didn't look like I had lifted it because the tires filled the wheel well. Just a note, I am not sure how much off roading you do just be cautious on hard turn ins with that side you are turning into is on the downside (Hope that makes sense) as that will load up the coil and wheel clearance is diminished quickly. You would be surprised how bad something can hit and when it does it shocks you pretty good. This is why I lifted mine a bit more and kept same tire size. I did not want it rub. The first time it did and my wife was with me she freaked out and thought I had ruined the truck. Amazing how loud plastic can be when it hits the knobs on the tires LOL!!!

A good way to check is go pull a real hard U turn. Just be ready in case it hits...LOL!!!

JAFO on the measurements of the tires, I already used those 275/65/18 without lift in the hilux. He scraped very little, now with the lift it got better than it already was.

Do you get on rough terrain there,Rod?

Wondering how it'll do. Cause if it doesnt hit anything under, ill most likely go with 275/65 17 than 285 with modifications on the body mount.

Great to hear, none of us like rubbing.

I will post up some pics today of how I rolled in the plastic inner wheel well which add a lot of tire of clearance when turning. My test is always a hard U turn as I mentioned. If you can pass that test then you are good to go for most things we will do unless we get it airborne. LOL!

Yes, I walk a lot on sloped ground. About 250km (400mi) per week. I also find it more profitable to put this measurement on the 17" wheels, it does not need any changes and it is very good.

Then in these photos she is 275/65/18 with the original suspension

Was looking at tires as mine have another 20kms left on them. Here are the specs KM2 and KO2 styles

    KM2 tire I am considering

    LT245/70R17
    119/116Q E .
    Rim width 6.5-8"
    Section width 9.8"
    Tread width 8.1"
    Tire OD 30.8"

    LT265/70R17
    121/118Q E
    Rim width 7-8.5"
    Section width 10.7"
    Tread width 8.2"
    Tire OD 31.7"

The OD on the 245 size is about an inch less which is Ok as it gives me more clearance. I currently have LT235/70R17 KM2s but they no longer offer that size.

Here is the comparison to the size Dametto.br runs. The 265/70 is very close to the 275/65. Its mostly tread width.

    KO2 tire

    LT275/65R18
    123/120R E
    Rim width 7.5-9"
    Section width 10.9"
    Tread width 9"
    Tire OD 32"

Pretty close tire sizes dimension wise. The 275 tire is wider by about 3/4". The other numbers are close

You folks have the same red mud clay we have here in Thailand. Man that stuff is tough to get off once it dries. I found after wheeling I have to get the power washer out while its still wet. If not its chisel time later HAHA. Also around here we have to watch big trucks and they will toss off big hunks of the big red clay from their tires and that can cause some serious damage to the front of a car or truck.

Thanks on truck Zypher. Its coming along. I am looking at the ChipExpress tuner. There is another one I was interested in but they seem to be having issues getting it to market which makes me wonder. ChipExpress got back to me on my technical questions I had with in one day so they sound like they have their stuff together. I will keep the thread updated with my review of it and the install process. I will order in a few weeks.

Catch Can looks nice. Take some install pics as you are doing it and post in the Thread. I'd like to see it, especially location. The lights upgrades sound nice. Post up some pics when done

I connected with a few guys here that build diesel race engines in BKK. They sell various injectors for larger flow and have a way to change the ECU boost limits. I built and raced a turbo car so this stuff is pretty straight forward but I am not sure how they "Trick" the factory ECU. I do not want to have run a wastegate. Just tune it up to have some fun. I have no idea the limits of the trans. I am not worried about the axles and diff. Anyway more on that later when I have time.
