Odyssey or Optima?

I need a new battery soon, and I am torn between these two. I have LED's all over and will be mounting my winch soon. What are you all running and why?

 

Optima ran into some serious QC issues a few years back. Don't know if or when it was corrected. Odyssey is an amazing battery. That's what they run in many high end applications; ambulances, etc.

 

I use a Napa Ledgend battery and it works fine. I power a sub, kc lights, and pods. Works fine and always has lots of power

 

I prefer Odyssey as I've been a witness to a few failed optima batteries. Cost for an Odyssey is decent too, 3years and mine is happily going strong still

 

Northstar. If you haven't heard of them, do some research.

Optima yellow top, Odyssey and Northstar are all AGM types and will be better than a traditional 'wet' lead/acid battery. But you will pay more.

Odyssey and Notrthstar are at the top of the food chain in this category. The next tier down would be optimas and the price points will reflect this.

Personally, I am very happy with my Northstars. I am running a pair of 24Fs. They are on their 2nd winter.

 

Just checked the northstar out. Looks like thats the direction i am going. And cheaper than i had imagined.
