This bracket will allow you to complete your DIY rear sliding window kit. This is only for the bracket, NOT a kit. Brackets are $49 shipped to your door. $10 more for those in Canada. Pm me to order. I will post updates along the way. Happy modding everyone!

Here is a very detailed write up from member @Poitrasbh

EDIT: They are in and have been shipped to several members!

My understanding is that the kit is easy to assemble as a motor, cabling and wires are all that is needed. The tough part is attaching it to the window in order to slide. And thats what this bracket will accomplish. The wise and Mighty @nazlax10 can elaborate further as he has successfully completed this mod

That's pretty much it. Mount a window regulator of your choice. I used one from an 02 trailblazer. Then run the cables up to the window channel. You drill holes to run the cables through. Then connect the cables to the bracket and that's really it. Here's some pictures from my install.

You can see here my mounted motor, and how the cables run into the channel a little bit.

Here's with my panel back on. I had to cut it to fit.

    20160415_114037.jpg

Then here's with a motor cover I built.

    20160415_121930.jpg

Here's the switch I used. It's a rear window switch from a Toyota Sienna.

The ghost of BenWa is going to haunt you for eternity.

lol psyche... Glad someone stepped up to the plate and carried this mod on.

For those just looking into this, there is plenty of information on the necessary steps to complete this here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/benwas-2005-power-sliding-rear-window-quick-install-kit.171805/

(also mentions of intellectual property blah blah... that guy "BenWa" clearly hasn't protected his "property" and has showed no interest in pursuing any type of sales of said "property")

So again I will say glad you took the initiative to keep things rolling here. Assuming your not looking to make millions like some people seem to think this idea is worth from that thread I am most definitely in. I have a build thread for my rear slider going already and will link this one in there if things move forward.

Edit: Just want to mention I also fully appreciate BenWa's contribution to this. Definitely the O.G. of this mod.

This is this is by no means a money making venture, if it was obviously Benwa would still be doin this. I've been wanting to do this mod forevvvvver and I know others wanted to do the same. I am simply giving back to the tw community so ppl can complete their diy kit. This is only for the bracket, no kit. The goal is to break even at best and help as many members as possible complete their sliding rear window kits.

Just found this kit. EXPENSIVE seems to be my thought. My 03 is around 600. Just trying to get an idea of what this whole thing would cost. Not trying to step on toes, just surfing the net and finding ideas.

Op.... I know your working hard to get this done to help others. I also know that you wouldn't be going through the trouble and HARD work for free, nor should you be. I myself greatly appreciate what your doing and it's a great idea that can impact many people beyond this board. My thing is that you have to have an idea as to what the bracket costs and what you want to sell it for. this is just for the bracket not the motor or anything else. Even if you shot from the hip and said a number I think you would get more people willing to commit. You know.... under promise over deliver and explain that this number CAN go down. It's great to see 5 pages and I'm sure more to come of people that say "interested" vs " commit or in". It's all about the price initially with people because it's not a must have. There is still a lot more involved than what your offering. I am intreagued myself but when I see a new post hoping for a price, it's just more "interest upon price". Your business and world. We are just living in it
