Cold and windy today. Temps in the 50-65 range, blowing dust and sand. Should start tapering off this afternoon...welcome to the desert.

 

Just fire it up and then move the snow that doesn't melt! Burnt ends are awesome! I may have to cook something this weekend too, but not sure what. I do want to smoke some more tomatoes and can them. I made salsa out of the first ones I smoked and it was pretty good. The smoke adds something that just doesn't come out of a bottle or shaker.

I remember a really nasty Santa Ana when I was out in Borrego Spring at the bottom of Coyote Canyon about 20 years ago . The sand felt like razors cutting up your skin , wasn't fun at all

It's Refreshing!

 

It's windy and chilly here today, too. I was planning on installing a stereo tomorrow, but it looks like it's going to be the same. I don't mind the cooler temp but not the wind.

 

I had planned on bringing the loader and dump truck back to Yuma to be serviced but the loader on the trailer behind the dump truck is like driving a big, heavy sail. Not as bad as a van trailer, but more than I felt like screwing with today. Add all the rv traffic blowing around the roads and it's just exhausting. It can wait till Monday.

 

Cool here for the weekend also! There expecting 300,000 peeps over in Tampa Tomorrow for the Gasparilla Festival! I'm glad I won't be through Tampa Tomorrow!

 

Fabbed up a mount for my MSD 7AL 2 coil so I can use the supplied vibration mounts . With the added spacing from the firewall I can now run all my wiring behind the coil making for a cleaner look

The mount still needs some work but happy how it turned out
