Sad news.. They emailed me stating that they screwed up and that the Tungsten 3P is actually out-of-stock. I responded seeing if they'll do the Limestone 4P for the same lower price since they offered to substitute for the tent. Probably not but worth a shot!

Tell that to every single distance runner on my college track team that switched to the fad "shoe" and got PF after two months. I trust professional PTs diagnosing the shoes as the problem more than I trust advertising saying it doesn't cause problems.

All our training staff had Doctorates, but I see your point. Either way, still rank them above advertisers and slightly above internet specialists

did they slowly practice with them, allowing their feet to strengthen up the muscles that never get used while wearing normal tennis shoes, or did they just toss them on and run like they've been wearing them their whole life?

I assume that by that point in the game they'd know how to get used to new shoes, but then again, distance runners are weird so I wouldn't be surprised. Sprinters ftw!

true, but those aren't just new shoes, those are basically just a thick layer of skin. barefoot running is a whole different animal. literally using muscles in the foot that haven't been correctly used since you started wearing shoes. it would takes months of slowly easing into it to not hurt yourself at your current pace. not refuting what you saw because I mean, you saw it haha, just saying it would take some getting used to. and ive seen people who should know better, do stupid stuff! (me included, I ran distance for a long time)

Just a bunch of old crap
Wear a good minimalist zero-drop heeled shoe as much as possible to get the foot stronger and it will do wonders for you. Get a bigger toe box and let your foot naturally spread out, too. That's what I do in the hiking off-season and even do some light trail work in zero-drop shoes. Does wonders for foot health and I no longer have PF. Then, fit your sport shoes for your new foot shape so they aren't cramped. Foot fatigue no longer is an issue.

You're assuming that I'm basing this off of ads and not real life experience. I can be a runner too, your college team doesn't encapsulate the world of LDR.

Not assuming anything about you, just sharing empirical evidence from a sample size of 10+ people who used the shoes far more (55+ miles a week) than the average person.

All worked out! :) They ended up giving me the Limestone 4P for $128.18 (price I paid for the Tungsten 3P). I really didn't think that was going to work so definitely got a killer deal.

I ordered the footprint, but too late to include in shipping.

10% off and shipping the footprint was still less than the clearance price at that co-op store that's no longer a co-op.
Anybody else remember when the co-op was a co-op, all for the benefit of it's members, not a benefit for the executives?
