I'm at $538.53 after tax out the door on the Smittybilt 98412 w/ synthetic rope. 4WP is selling it for $549.99 and covering the tax. So im not much cheaper.

Damn it!!!!!!! But in all fairness i think i was looking at the warn winches hard at the time. But now i am looking at smittybilt... more cost effective.

I have the Midland 1001 LWX and it is in the center console. I wanted the ability to have weather or I would have went with a smaller one like the Uniden.

But it was a pain in the ass to mount it in the center console with all the cutting I had to do and running wires.

 

Ok so when you get everything mounted we need to get your truck stuck so we can try it out!

 

I am trying to find one with weather as well. Also needs to have a PA so that i can announce all my arrivals... I feel like its important for everyone to hear me at all times!!!

I had one with a PA on my WRX. I mostly used it on the highway, "get out of my way!!!!!!!!"

I don't get out much. Plus your in an F150 which doesnt grab my attention, all I see is Full Size truck and move on. Most of my driving is in plano to and from work @ 6am/pm on parker/spring creek. Keep spending all my money on my truck and cant afford to go out! Probably working overtime for the next few months. Wondering if I can get my company to let me go up to 60 hrs a week. NEED MORE PARTS!!!

Whats next for the beast?

 

I am in the process of getting the Arb twin compressor and need to find/order an engine bay mount for it. The rest of the list is unplanned and has no date until funds allow. I'm kinda broke right now but will get many more things as money allows... I'll do some smaller things like CB and quick fist mounts while I save for larger items. Still need to figure out how I want to carry my spare because I dont want it under the bed. I've been driving around town without carrying the spare, I throw it in the bed when I go on trips for now. If i knew how to weld, I would build a custom bed rack with a custom bed tire carrier built into it. I have an ideal of what I want and there is nothing like it made by anyone.
