So i was thinking for a cool picture..... line all the trucks up, and use an angle off the hood/front of the end truck so you can tell it is a tacoma and see every other one down the line in the background of the picture.

 

You folks want commercial grade drone shots? I need to get mine services but could make room for it if you like.

Kentucky State parks currently have a ban on drones unless you have a permit. They fall into roughly the same category as drinking beer on the trail. Don't get caught and your good. Get caught and your weekend is pretty much bagged. Difference is, I don't expect you'll be in the back seat of a police SUV if caught with a drone. YMMV with getting caught drinking.

 

LBL wants to ban them. What a shame.

Licensed permit as FAA certified or certified license or just having your drone licensed though the FAA?

 

The Possum Cop that explained it to me said it was a "specific use permit" issued through the Ranger Station @ each park. That is in addition to any permit/license required by FAA. From what he told me, it was no problem getting the permit, just a formality so they know who is using a drone on park property at any given moment.

 

Yeah basically the same as everywhere else. Just stay below 400ft height, in sight, don't annoy people/animals and you're good.

 

Put in for vacation for wed through Monday! The boss didn't fall out of his chair laughing, so that's a plus.

When are people from Nashville (or passing through) headed up? I'm looking at early Thursday afternoon, I've got a presentation for work that morning then I'll be headed out shortly after that.

That's the plan. I won't be leaving until Friday probably, but I'm sure I could leave Thursday about noon too.

I'll be leaving Nashville around that time. Idk about @Dave41079 or @rngr or any of the other nashville guys honestly. There's a fuck ton now.

 

Unless I can pull some strings, I'll be leaving after 3pm on Friday because I have class.

 

I haven't 100% decided when I'm gonna leave yet. But I think Thursday afternoon would work for me unless I take the kid that I have to wait until after school lets out Thursday.

If I can take Friday off, then I'll be leaving from Nashville after work Thursday in the afternoon..3pm ish, maybe earlier. I'd be up for meeting up with folks if that timeframe works for anyone else.

 

My only goal is to not set up camp in the dark, other than that I'm flexible on when I leave.
