Corral Canyon Drive Feb 13, 2010

A group of us are thinking about heading out to Corral Canyon this weekend on Saturday. There will be 3 tacomas and a few other trucks. If anyone is interested post up and I will try to get it organized.

We are meeting at the mobile gas station off of mission gorge road @ 10 am on 13 FEB.

I havent got a roll call yet because it has been world of mouth via text with everyone. But I know for a fact that there is aroudn 5+ going so far.

 

outer loop or sidewinder?

 

I was planning on going out there anyway to check on a project I'm doing with SDORC & CDF, are you guys 4x or pre runners ? & are you guys familiar with Corral Canyon ? I don't know about Sidewinder Single Fin after all the rain, if your 4x & locked & lifted I'd say your probably ok but theres a few places where you may get some damage.....

all of us are 4x4 I know that there will be around 4 taco that has the offroad version including myself. But I think the others are other truck brands so I wouldnt know. I think the majority of us are lifted.

 

Your title says the 13, but in the thread it says 12th. What day are you going Saturday? or Friday?

 

Yeah what day are you guys going. if its Sat 13TH i would be down to go. getting my alignment done at 8am that morning, but cant wait to try out the new Tires

Hey Steve (God of speed), I see you're a newbie, Hi & welcome to TW, now that said, a little suggestion, when you start a thread in a way its a commitment, the reason I say that is because there are a lot of guys here that are not only new to off roading but have no clue where Corral Canyon is, but I digress, there is a reasonable assumption that when someone starts a thread putting a trail run,meet & greet etc; together, that they are a "host" & its kinda up to you to keep the energy & interest going along with a general plan for the trail run/days events, but honestly when I read a thread that goes like this: " A bunch of us are thinking about going out to Corral Canyon on such & such day ." I gotta tell ya, it sounds like you may or may not even show up . Maybe its just me but if I start a thread about putting a run together then I become the "host" & hell or high water , nothing short of a medical emergency will keep me from showing up to an agreed upon location & start the run & if no one showed up but me thats ok too, because even if "my trail run" was a complete train wreck, by God no one can say I flaked out, I fufilled my obligation to host. & please Bro' don't take offense, I'm not trying to put ya down in any way, I'm trying to help you so next time you start a thread for a trail run you'll: Give forum members at least a 4-5 day "heads up" in advance & keep checking up on your thread for members response & up dates I know this isn't always possible but the more advanced notice a run has, it seems the better turn out there is. If you & your buddies are still going then maybe I'll see you out there, & I'll probably have Reckless Taco ( Matt ) with me, but no worries Bro' if not this run then the next one it will be.............

No flame taken. It was a last minute thing that was put together. It is not my run, it was my buddy run which was via text and world of mouth. I just posted to see if anyone wanted to last minute tag a long. I am new here and I don't understand the way you guys do stuff here yet. I ride motorcycles and We normally just post stuff and see who wants to go.

I don't flake. If for some reason I don't make it. I will post up ahead of time and let everyone know.

You haven't met our beloved JD - he's famous for setting up some of the best mod days and runs that he's never been on. We back fill and everything turns out just fine. We'd love to have him along but he's our catalyst many times when others didn't take the risk.
