I mean I've never had to hit my brakes that hard. I thought we were going to hit but somehow the truck stopped. But it felt like it catched or seized or something. I might just be paranoid though.

If you've never heard ABS at work, then yeah that's probably what it as. It is quite loud, but very effective. Especially on ice. Ask me how I know:eek:

Especially black ice. You don't see it till you're on it with about a dozen or so other cars in carnage.

    I hope so.

Also an update on the shop visit. The techs told me that they feel the issue with the downshifting but it isn't something they can fix right now and doesn't seem to be hurting anything. They said if it gets worse they will pass it up the pipeline to corporate and they will send out the next level tech from Texas to see it. Apparently there is no TSB for 4 cylinder engines and I have a super rare config so they can't find a truck in the area to test drive to see if it has the same issue. They also told me to go to the 20 min away dealership to do the bumper alignment fix because they have in house Toyota body techs.

In short, I think they told me to piss off.

122 inches at one time? We get 1/4" of ice here and the damn town shuts down.
