I see they ask for exhaust reroute. Is that a big deal to do? I have a good friend that owns a meineke in mechanicsburg he put on new flowmaster and did dual exhaust. 1 out of each side with stainless steel tips. To so the reroute is that something he will look at and say sure that's easy? He's owned the shop well over 20 years.

I'd need pics of the underside of your truck where your transfer case is to determine which one you'd want.

I'm confused. I thought he was just asking if doing a reroute was an easy job for an exhaust shop.

The reroute moves the cross over pipe that goes from the driver side to the passenger side then goes into the Y. It's rerouted further back so the pipe doesn't hang down right at the cross member. You gain around 1.5-2 inches of clearance (I haven't actually measured it).

@Braves95, Here's a pic of it from another thread.

All of it. But seriously, steel is twice the weight. About 90 lbs vs 180 lbs

This is how we recommend our two materials:

Aluminum is a great set up for an overland build and minor rock crawling. Steel is a great set up for moderate to severe rock crawling. I've done field testing on both and for around here, steel is king. Just ask Lloyd @Subway4X4 haha.

Makes sense, since the truck is a daily and not gonna be coming off any boulders and bouncing on the skid plate I'd opt for the aluminum for my Tacoma. Thanks for the info!

For the majority users, the aluminum will work great, especially now that we've reinforced them throughout.
