If you are trying to do a lift on a budget you should consider lifting only 2.5" to avoid replacing the UCAs. I recently did a lift on my 07 with 2.5" bilstiens and a 1.5" AAL and the truck looks and drives great...did all of the work myself and spent around $400 so I still had plenty of money for rims and tires. If you go to 3" or more you will NEED to replace your UCAs in order to align the truck properly which will add a good deal to your costs.

This is my truck with the lift I just mentioned...put it in about a week ago. I know I can easily clear 32" tires(265/70/r17) and I would be surprised if going up to 33" would require any more then minor trimming if any.

33's won't rub with 2.5 lift if you get wheels with the right offset. Right now my 33's are on stock rims and it just rubs the frame a bit at full tilt

IMG_7977.jpg Just thought I would speak up. I just lifted my truck with Icon stage 7 steal UCA with Old Man Emu Dakar leaf pack (extra leaf add). I have Stealth Series Custom Ray10 16x8 wheels with BFG KA02 LT285/75R16. I was at a full 3" lift in the front with a little bit of rubbing in the beginning. I added front Aluminum bumper/winch and full steal armor underneath. The front has dropped with the weight. At this height I need to do a cab mount chop. I rub a lot on the left. I'm going to revisit the height in a week or so. I'm just trying to let the Springs still settle a bit. When I get the cab chop done, I'll have it raised up a little.

My only suggestion is. If you're going to carry any weight plan for it now. I have a 600lbs spring up front because I planned on a Aluminum bumper. Because of my shell and roof rack and rrt tent and pelfrybilt rear bumper / tire carrier (on order), I went with an added leaf for the Dakar pack. The truck ran a little rough for a week or two. But as soon as I added weight the ride was nicer.

    Good luck in you hunting.

Here is a picture of how my truck sits now.

Thanks for the info I'm going to order the icon stage 3 I plan to add a similar front bumper sliders and a roof rack in the future to start overlanding do you think 600lbs front springs will be enough?

I would think 4.0 to 4.25 back spacing would get a good fit.it will give a wider stance to the tires to clear the frame but there may be some adjustments needed at the mud flap/ fender area. But I'm running stock wheels right now so I'm not %100 certain

My bumper is a Pelfrybilt Aluminum. I'm waiting on a rear Bumper and Sliders from Pelfry now.

My truck was built for overlanding
