So did this clear up all the ABS errors? What a lot of people don't realize is that modern vehicle wiring is known as "networked". Which means that rather than run harnesses from a brain to all different directions, they chain things together. So as an example a wire may pass through a damn seat module to control an HVAC component to save wire. So one would think that the wires going to the head unit are just for the head unit, but clearly not the case. The just pass through it. Grrr. Has anybody seen any other behaviors with that wire disconnected momentarily besides the radio allowing destinations?

I don't have privileges to post in my own thread anymore WTF? LOL

The first pic is from the back of my 2016 Tacoma and NOT a Tundra, I posted the Tundra ones as they were a little clearer and the exact same pin-outs to try and help, I even had posted that wording above the pictures. I have deleted them to not cause further confusion.

Just a thought - you could go into your media gallery and maybe delete the image the first post references?

I can "edit & delete" the pictures in question of the first post, which I did, just can't reply or quote.

LOL. I think there's a couple threads where I've been blessed with that same restriction.

So the below is from your truck? Still looks ass backwards based on the FSM unless it varies based on model. 2nd image is one I labeled from the FSM viewed from the wire side with the latch up.

hmm...maybe it is, just labeled wrong. Pin 9 is also Violet and pin 10 is White on the same row as the Grey #2.

Maybe the below is more accurate?

I've used the wire harness from the guy on here selling so u don't have to cut the factory wire on the harness. I have done everything to a T. Now when I hook the switch up and no lights on switch. I push button and it let's me use the GPS while driving. Now when I hit the button again it won't let me input GPS while driving. So all is good. But if push button to input GPS route the GPS stops. But if I don't touch switch. It automatically starts showing that I'm driving and it's accurate. I leave the button pushed in and I am always able to input GPS and phone stuff while driving. Now I have 2017 TRDOR Dbl cab with technology package. If this site will let me upload a video I will upload tomorrow.

Believe it uses the speed signal to keep track of where you are instead of being fully dependent on gps signal. It's why there's a calibrate option in the settings to adjust for tire size.

Yep, it may use the speed sensing wire to provide inputs in between GPS fixes.

@Braves95 check Vimeo for simple video uploads and then link from here.

    oh god why :(

armor all is terrible for your dash
and paper towel actually has micro abrasives to it. Think of it as a high grit sand paper, and anything it picks up (dust etc) will just add to the abrasive of it.

It doesn't use the speed input for actual GPS location and it will (after it thinks for a bit when you initially cut the speed input) follow your location accurately without the speed input.

However, it does use speed input as a sort of cue for certain things. For example, it will never understand that you are moving on a programmed navigation route without speed input and will not start turn-by-turn directions without the speed input.

This is my experience anyway on a 2017 Premium & Tech + JBL.

Right, that wasn't what I had in mind, but more the ancillary stuff you mentioned. Good info on the actual effect.
