Well, I went out to the jetty this morning, no Nissan. That means it either was towed, or swept out to sea or knocked into the shallower area on the inside of the jetty. I wnet at low tide, so I would have thought I'd see it if it was submerged close to the jetty.

I checked with our dispatch and HCSO dispatch, no one knows what happened to it. I tried calling BLM dispatch (it's BLM land, technically) and got no answer.

So... only thing I can say for sure is, there is no more Nissan on the jetty. If I hear anything more I'll post.

Actually, our tweakers will disassemble a vehicle they think is abandoned fairly quickly, like 2-3 days, so I was expecting to see a frame and maybe one body panel left. The fact that it is all gone means one of only two things.

Tweakers in Humboldt Co..? Say it ain't so. You should direct them to the state forests where there's "free" weed. Problem solved and solved!

Then he'll post all over social media about how those damn hippies in CA are forcing him to pay fines for killing spotted owls and fish.

    "Official" response:

Truck got towed hours later, then rehabbed in Eureka. Fellow said he used to do that all the time years ago. He was headed to Bakersfield Friday evening.

Yeah just think if he was in a boat in 25' swells and needed to be rescued! Only way would be man over board.

Rust on a Nissan.. perfectly normal.
